This background job controls the Incident Violation Notification Alert, which checks if employees committed an attendance incident or violation within a specified amount of days.
If attendance incidents or violations have occurred, the background job sends Incident Violation Notification Alerts to employees and their managers. This alert includes the date and type of violation or incident, and (when sent to managers) the employee’s name.
Configures how many days the background job looks back when checking for incidents. If you leave this field blank, the background job automatically looks back to the last time the task was run and sends alerts for any incidents or violations that have occurred since.
Alert Type
Select the type of alert that’s sent to employees when an incident violation occurs:

Customized: Use customized violation notification messages to alert employees. You configure customized violation notification messages in the following areas in Pay Setup > Attendance:
(Attendance policy only) In the Attendance Policy tab, in the Incident Type, Grade, and Violation subtabs. Select the Send Notification checkbox and enter a customized message in the Notification Message field to send customized incident type, grade, or violation notification messages.
(Attendance rule policy only) In the Attendance Rule Policy tab, in the slide-out panel in the Incident Type, Violation, and Grade tabs. Select the appropriate rule and select the Send Notification checkbox in the rule’s settings. Next, configure a customized notification in the Notification Message field.
