Illinois Employee Count Overview

The IL Employee Count column of the Establishments tab shows a count of employees for each establishment. The employees shown have an active employment status in the payroll filing year defined for the template and have the required ethnicity, gender, and job category data. Employees are still counted in this column if they meet this criteria but don't have hours or pay data. You can generate a file of employees missing hours or pay data.

Notes:

  • The employee is eligible for reporting if they have an active status at any time during the payroll filing year. For example, employees terminated mid-year are still included in the reports because they were active for part of the filing year.
  • If an establishment has employees who should be reported on, but are excluded because of missing pay or hours data, the establishment isn't listed in the Establishments tab. However, the eligible employees for the establishment are included in the Illinois Employee Data Report so that you can see which data is missing. See Generate the Illinois Employee Data Report.
  • If an employee has a work location override defined for their primary work assignment, the report treats the location that you add in the Organization > Employee Work Location Overrides tab of Org Setup > Organization as an establishment.
