For health plans, employee costs are most often mapped to deduction codes. When Dayforce calculates employee costs for health plan options, it determines the annual employee cost based on the rate table, then divides by the total number of existing pay periods in the employee's pay group calendar for the plan year. Health plan elections write to payroll even when no pay periods are left in the plan year, when configured to have a relative plan year.
Employer costs are most often mapped to earning codes and this is commonly used to post the employer cost to a memo earning code.
