See HR Admin Configuration.

HR Admin Subfeatures

Citizenship: Enables HR Admin > Citizenship, which allows users to configure custom citizenship values.

Compliance Reporting:

  • EEO: (US only) Enables HR Admin > Compliance Reporting > EEO, where you can configure various EEO reports to comply with government regulations.
    • California Pay Data Reporting: (US only) Enables the ability to configure California pay data reporting templates, within which you can generate the report. When this feature is assigned to a role, and you go to HR Admin > Compliance Reporting > EEO, the Add button includes a drop-down list containing the California Pay Data option.
    • This feature also enables the California Pay Data Report - Establishment Major Activity details and California Pay Data Report - Row-Level Clarifying Remarks fields in the Compliance Properties tab of sites in the Organization tab of Org Setup > Organization. See Configure Establishment Details.
      • California Employee Data Report: (US only) Enables the California Employee Data Report option in the Export button menu in HR Admin > Compliance Reporting > EEO, which reports on employees missing hours or pay data.
      • Important: Only certain roles should be assigned this feature because the file generated gives access to employee-level data. This is different from the actual California pay data report, which doesn't identify employees. See Generate the California Employee Data Report.
    • EEO-1: (US only) Enables the ability to configure EEO-1 Filing Component 1 reports and the EEO-1 Employee Data Report.
    • EEO-1 Filing Component 2: (US only. Not currently in use.) Enables an additional layer of functionality in the EEO subfeature so that users can generate Component 2 reports.
    • Important: Component 2 reports are currently not collected by the EEOC.
      • EEO-1 Filing Component 2 Employee Report: (US only. Not currently in use.) Enables the EEO-1 Component 2 Employee Data Report option in the Export menu of the EEO subfeature.
      • Important: The EEO-1 Filing Component 2 Employee Report feature provides access to employee-level data. Customers who want to use the feature for voluntary pay data analysis should do so with caution and should only assign the reports to certain roles.
    • EEO-4: (US only) Enables the ability to configure the State and Local Government Information Report (commonly known as the EEO-4 Report) and the EEO-4 Employee Data Report.
    • Illinois Pay Data Reporting: (US only) Enables the ability to configure Illinois pay data reporting templates, within which you can generate the report. When this feature is assigned to a role, and you go to HR Admin > Compliance Reporting > EEO, the Add button includes a drop-down menu containing the EEO-1 and Illinois Pay Data options. You can select the EEO-1 option to create a template for the federal EEO-1 report and the Illinois Pay Data option to create a template for the Illinois pay data report.
      • Illinois Employee Data Reporting: (US only) Enables the Illinois Employee Data Report option in the Export button menu in HR Admin > Compliance Reporting > EEO, which reports on employees who are missing hours or pay data.
      • Important: Only certain roles should be assigned this feature. The file generated gives access to employee-level data, which is different from the actual Illinois pay data report, which doesn't identify specific employees. See Generate the Illinois Employee Data Report.

You can select this checkbox for employee properties that you don’t want the rule to update when an employee already has a record for that same property. See Retain Existing Values for Employee Properties.

Employee Gender Admin: Enables HR Admin > Employee Gender Admin.

  • Gender: Enables the Gender screen where you can configure assigned sex and gender identity values for the organization.
    • Migration Log Data: Enables the migration log shown in the banner of HR Admin > Employee Gender Admin > Gender after the gender migration. You can review this log to learn whether the automatic gender migration was successful.
  • Pronouns: Enables the Pronouns screen, which is used to set up pronoun suggestions for employees. There are four predefined options in the feature by default. You can change these options or add new ones.

Employee Group Admin: Enables HR Admin > Employee Group Admin, which is used to define groups that can be used to classify or categorize the organization's employees into common groups, usually for reporting or payroll purposes.

Create employee groups if the existing attributes on employee records aren’t enough to differentiate employees adequately. Dayforce can be configured to pay employees differently based on their employee groups by configuring the Employee Qualifier and assigning it to the appropriate rules. Employees are assigned to employee groups in People

See Rule Qualifiers and Create Employee Groups.

Employee Number Generator: Enables HR Admin > Employee Number Generator, where users can configure how Dayforce generates employee numbers for employees.

Employee Properties: Enables HR Admin > Employee Properties, which is used to create additional fields or pieces of information that can be assigned to the organization's employees if there are pieces of information not currently tracked in Dayforce that need to be. For example, Dayforce doesn't track employee shoe sizes, but the organization supplies employees with uniforms, so it would be useful to track this information.

Enable this feature if the organization needs to track additional status reasons, aside from the existing system values.

When HR professionals, managers, or other users with appropriate access record performance reviews for their employees, they select a performance cycle from a list defined using this feature.

Relationship Types: Enables HR Admin > Relationship Types Admin, where users can create relationship types to track the relationships that exist between employees and their dependents. Before users can specify that an employee's dependent is a spouse or child, for example, those relationship types need to be added.
