In the Departments tab of EEO-4 filing templates, warning icons are shown in the employee count columns for departments when employees have an active employment status during the filing period in the template (and so should be reported on), but are excluded as a result of missing data (race, ethnicity, gender, job category, job function, or annual salary).
You can generate the EEO-4 Employee Data report to see which employees are missing data. This report is for review purposes and not for submitting to the EEOC.
Role feature access: HR Admin > HR Admin > Compliance Reporting > EEO > EEO-4 > EEO-4 Employee Data Report.
Important: Only certain roles should be assigned access to this report; the file generated gives access to employee-level data. It’s different from the EEO-4 pay data report, which doesn't identify employees.
To view a detailed list of excluded employees for all of the departments in the list:
- Go to HR Admin > Compliance Reporting > EEO.
- Click Export > EEO-4 Employee Data Report. Dayforce generates an XLSX file with the following naming convention:
- TemplatenameEEO-4EmployeeData.xlsx
The EEO Employee Data Report has the following tabs, which correspond to the tabs in the EEO-4 report:
- Full-Time
- Other Than Full-Time
- New Hires During Fiscal Year
If any of the following fields for an employee in a department is missing data, a Y is shown in the Missing Info column in each tab:
- Job Category
- Job Function
- Gender
- Race
- Ethnicity
- Annual Salary (only for Full-Time tab)
- Pay Class Group
If no data is missing for an employee, an N is shown in the Missing Info column.
You must resolve any issues in the area of Dayforce where the corresponding data is held. See the following topics:
