General Section in the Bank Accounts Tab
The General section of the Bank Accounts tab in Payroll Setup > Bank Accounts is used to enter general information about the bank and its operating country.
| Field | Description |

| Name | Field for the name of the bank account, which is displayed in the Name field in the Customer Bank Account Setting tab. Used when assigning bank accounts to legal entities in Org Setup, and displayed on employee earning statements. |
| Description | Field for the description of the bank account. Displayed in the Description field in the Customer Bank Account Setting tab. Used when assigning bank accounts to legal entities in Org Setup, and displayed on employee earning statements. |
| Operating Country | Drop-down list containing the countries available for your organization. The country selected here determines what fields are displayed in the Bank Details section and whether the Check Details section is displayed at all. |
| Reference Code | Field for the cross-reference (XREF) code used to import and export information. See Cross-Reference Codes. |
