The Full Balance Replenish With Clean Period Check Rule examines transactions against multiple balances when determining if there is a clean period during balance replenishment. For example, you can configure the rule to replenish the sick days an employee used during the past year.
Before You Begin: If you’re using the Award Entitlements to Employee background job and have the Recalculate Balance Periods checkbox selected, the Full Balance Replenish With Clean Period Check Rule won’t work properly. You must clear the Recalculate Balance Periods checkbox for this rule to function effectively.
This rule is similar to the Balance Replenish Rule except that the Balance Replenish Rule examines only decrements to the associated balance in the selected entitlement (that is, the balance the rule is going to replenish when checking for a clean period). You can use the Full Balance Replenish with Clean Period Check Rule to select several balances in the Clean period eligible balances setting, and then examine decrements to all of those balances. As a result, if sick leave has been recorded using a different balance or pay adjustment during the clean period, the balance will be replenished.
Note: The balance maximum is required. See Add Rulesets to Entitlements.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Period Unit | The period the rule uses for looking back. You can select Day(s) or Month(s). |
Number of units to look back for clean period |
The period the rule looks back to determine if there has been a clean period. The rule only replenishes the balance if there were no deductions recorded against the eligible balances in the specified time period. For example, you can configure the rule to replenish the balance amount if there has been a clean period for a year by entering 365 (assuming the value in the Period Unit field is Day(s)). |
Clean period include current day | When this checkbox is selected, the clean period moves one day forward. This setting doesn’t change the lookback period. |
Clean period eligible balances | The balances that will be checked for transactions within the look back days to qualify for replenishment. If no balances are selected, the rule only examines the balance specified in the associated entitlement. |
