Forced Days Off Rule

This rule ensures that employees who work on a specific day of the week don’t work other days. For example, you can use this rule to be in compliance with local legislation so that employees who work on Saturday don’t work on Sunday or Monday.

Forced Days Off Rule settings
Setting Description
Target day The day that you want employees to work. The rule considers employees to have worked if their shift starts any time that day (that is, any time between 00:00 and 24:00).
Days forced off The days that employees can’t work after working the target day.
Severity

The response to a violation:

  • Critical: You can’t save or post the schedule.
  • Error: You can save the schedule, but you can’t post it.
  • Informational: You’re alerted to the problem, but no action is required.
  • Warning: You’re alerted to the problem, but you can still save the schedule.
