If employees belonging to the pay group are paid by direct deposit, you can enter additional direct deposit settings for the pay group in the Pay Group Properties tab.
To enter direct deposit information:
- Go to Pay Setup > Pay Group.
- In the left side panel, select the pay group you want to add direct deposit information to.
- Click the Pay Group Properties tab.
- In the Direct Deposit section, enter the maximum number of accounts that employees can split their direct deposit pay into in the Max Number of Accounts field.
- Dayforce prevents users with access to the Payroll > Direct Deposit screen in People from saving more than the specified number of accounts on employee records.
- If some (or all) of the employees in the pay group distribute their direct deposit into different accounts on a percentage basis, select the Distribute By Percent checkbox. By default, Dayforce tracks the distribution into different accounts on a dollar basis, so that, for example, employees might receive $500 in one account and the remainder in another.
- Select the Mandatory Remainder Account checkbox and Dayforce makes sure that a remainder account is defined on an employee’s direct deposit record.
- (Optional) Select the Mandatory Document Upload checkbox to require employees to upload supporting documents (such as a bank statement PDF or image of a void check) before they can submit a Direct Deposit form. If the form submission is rejected because the employee uploaded the wrong document, they can add or update supporting documents when the form is routed back to them in the workflow. Dayforce Wallet Card users are excluded from this requirement and don't need to upload documents.
- (Optional) Select the Ignore Mandatory Remainder Account on Forms checkbox to give employees in US or Canadian pay groups the option to delete all existing accounts on the Direct Deposit form (including the remainder account). If no accounts are saved, the employee receives payment by check instead of direct bank deposit. You can select this checkbox if the Mandatory Remainder Account checkbox is also selected.
- Click Save.
