Enforce Shift Start Time Rule

This rule evaluates whether a shift’s start time is earlier than the previous shift. If you add a shift that starts at an earlier time than the previous shift, the rule triggers a violation.

Note: This rule doesn’t work for shifts that start at night and extend into the next day. Additionally, the rule runs only for shifts on different days. For two shifts on the same day, the rule doesn’t run.

Setting Description
Reset on Holiday If the rule finds a holiday before finding a shift, the rule doesn’t enforce shift start times and you can add a shift that starts at any time.
Reset on Day The day that resets the rule’s evaluation. When the rule doesn’t find a shift, you can add a shift that starts at any time.

  • Warning: You’re alerted to the problem, but you can still save the schedule.
