Before You Begin: Dayforce can’t keep personal data after it exceeds the retention period and is deleted by the background job. Deleted personal data can’t be retrieved.
The final step in the data management process is to enable the background job to run in Identify and Delete mode. In this mode, Dayforce deletes the records that it identifies as being outside the enabled policy thresholds, for the people who you approved in the Person Management > Review And Approve tab.
Important: If a person's data is fully deleted, they won’t show in an identifiable way in Data Management Center or in the data minimization reports.
To enable Identify and Delete mode:
- Go to System Admin > Data Management Center and then go to the Person Management > Policies tab.
- In the Allowed Actions drop-down list, click Identify and Delete.
- Click Save.
On the next Identify and Delete mode run date, Dayforce deletes the data that was identified as being outside the data retention policy thresholds for the people who you have approved in the Review and Approve tab.
