Enable and Disable Personal Data Retention Policies

In the Person Management > Policies tab of Data Management Center, the checkboxes in the Delete Enabled and Identify Enabled columns allow you to select which policies should be applied the next time the background job runs. You should enable policies for identification only at first so that you can review which records are going to be affected before you enable the policy for deletion.

Select the checkboxes for the policies that you want to run in Identify Only mode and Identify and Delete mode. Dayforce only shows checkboxes for policies that are available to be run in each mode. Policies with retention periods of 99 years or more can’t be enabled because it’s assumed that no data would be older than 99 years.

Note: When a policy change is saved, all currently identified data (shown in the Person Management > Review And Approve tab) for all policies associated with the changed country will be removed from the current data minimization cycle. The policy changes will be reflected in the data identified for the next data minimization cycle.
