When time away from work doesn’t use workflows, users can view time away from work requests for any employee they had access to, even if they don’t have to approve or deny the request. For example, an employee requests time away from work, and their manager approves it. Even though the director that the manager reports to doesn’t need to act on the employee’s request, they can still view it.
Before You Begin: This access authorization is only used for users who use workflows for time away from work requests. See Workflow Configuration for Time Away from Work.
When using a workflow for time away, by default users can only view requests that they can action. This means that, in the example above, the director couldn't view the employee’s request. To grant users access to requests they cannot action, select all of the parameters for the Employee TAFW Workflow Access authorization.
This displays the Actionable switch in the Filter panel in Approvals.
