Employee Reauthorization

The Employee Reauthorization notification informs users when their time and attendance records become unauthorized. Unauthorization can occur in the following scenario:

  • The employee is assigned to a time entry policy that has the Unauthorize On Edit setting enabled in Pay Setup > Time Entry Policy.
  • The employee has authorized shifts or pay adjustments that were edited.

In this scenario, the Employee Reauthorization notification is sent to the affected employee to inform them that their records are unauthorized.

Note: As an exception, adding a comment to an authorized shift or pay adjustment isn’t considered an edit. In this scenario, Dayforce doesn’t unauthorize the records.

The notification gives the employee details about the change and informs them that they must reapprove their timesheet. If the timesheet was changed by more than one manager, the notification lists each change individually, along with the name of the manager that made each change.

For more information on the background job associated with this notification, see Employee Reauthorization Alert.
