Employee Count Overview

In the Hiring Locations list, the Protected Veterans, Total Employees, Protected Veterans (New Hires), and Total New Hires columns provide a count of employees for each hiring location. A more granular count by job category is provided in the actual VETS-4212 Filing Report that you generate.

Notes:

  • Employees are only counted in these totals if their job has a job category assigned. Job category is defined in Org Setup > Jobs and Job Assignments, in the Job Details section of a job, by selecting an option from the EEO-1 Job Category drop-down list. Validation is provided if this is missing. See Employee Count Overview.
  • New hires are employees hired outside 12 months of the date defined in the Twelve Month Ending Period field of the General tab.
  • Employees marked as virtual in their active primary work assignment during the snapshot period are included in the headquarter location. This is defined by the Virtual checkbox in their primary work assignment in the Work > Work Assignments screen of People.
  • Employees who have a work location override defined for their active primary work assignment are included in the establishment that is assigned to their work location.
