Controls whether users can edit schedules in the past and prevent users from making future edits.
- With the checkboxes cleared, users can't edit schedules in the past.
- When all of the checkboxes are selected, users can edit schedules in the past. The number of rolling 24-hour periods into the past that users can edit schedules is limited by the Number of Editable Scheduled Days in the Past client property. If this is set to zero, all edits in the past are prevented. If a negative value is entered, edits in the future are prevented. See System Admin > Client Properties.
When you edit past schedules, Dayforce runs the rule engine to recalculate the employee’s pay. Depending on the configuration of the pay rules and qualifiers in use, editing an employee’s schedule can impact how they're paid.
Because changing a past schedule can impact pay, for added security and to prevent inadvertent retros (retroactive adjustments) from being created, Dayforce doesn't allow users to edit any schedules on retro pay periods (that is, on transmitted pay periods). However, users can still edit schedules in past, non-retro periods. See Retroactive Adjustment Setup.
