Delivery packages are configured in Payroll Setup > Report Output, in the Delivery Packages tab.
Configuring delivery packages involves the following general process:
- Configuring whether delivery packages are sent by courier or national postal service.
- Configuring delivery package details, including the recipients and addresses where the packages are sent.
- (Optional) Specifying the payroll reports that are included with a delivery package that is sent by courier to a single location.
- Assigning org units or individual employees to delivery packages to determine which employees' printed checks or direct deposit advices are included in the package.
- Assigning delivery packages to pay groups.
The Enforce Pay Group Security option
One of the options that you can set when configuring delivery packages is Enforce Pay Group Security. If this option is configured (if the checkbox is selected), Dayforce validates that the user committing the payroll run has access to all of the reports that are generated as part of the delivery package for the committed pay run. Because some reports are automatically generated at payroll commit, and because those reports might contain data on multiple pay groups, this validation might prevent the user from viewing some reports if that user does not have access to all of the pay groups in these reports, of which the following is a partial list:
- Payroll Quarterly Wage and Tax Report
- Payroll Other State Wages Report
- Payroll Quarterly State Wages Paid Report
- Multiple Worksite Verification Report
If you do not configure the Enforce Pay Group Security option for a delivery package, Dayforce does not validate whether the user committing the pay run has access to all pay groups contained in the reports generated and does not restrict access to the generated reports.
