Delete Benefits Decision Support Configurations

You can delete decision support configurations when you no longer need them in Benefits Setup > Benefits Decision Support.

If you have more than one configuration for a plan and you're deleting the current one, Dayforce removes the end date from the most recent remaining configuration (chronologically) and makes it the current one, after you click Save.

For example, a medical plan has three decision support configurations with the following effective dates:

  • January 1, 2019: No end date
  • January 1, 2018: December 31, 2018
  • January 1, 2017: December 31, 2017

If you delete the January to December 2019 configuration, Dayforce removes the end date from the January to December 2018 configuration so that it's the current one. The remaining configurations for the plan would have the following effective dates:

  • January 1, 2018: No end date
  • January 1, 2017: December 31, 2017

If you remove all of the configuration records for a plan, Dayforce removes that plan from the left sidebar when you click Save.

You can delete decision support configurations that are used in enrollments, but Dayforce warns you that the configuration is in use upon save.

To delete a decision support configuration:

  1. Go to Benefits SetupBenefits Decision Support.
  2. Select the decision support configuration that you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete.
  4. Click Save. If the configuration is for a plan that's included in an enrollment using decision support, it's indicated in the Problems panel.
  5. In the Please Confirm dialog box, click Cancel to stop the deletion or Ignore and Save to proceed with the deletion. If you click Ignore and Save, Dayforce removes the configuration record from the left sidebar.
