Deduction and Earning Tax Form Mappings

In Payroll Setup > Earnings and Deductions, in the Deductions and Earnings tabs, you can view tax form and report mapping configured for deductions and earnings in the Tax Form/Report Mapping section, if available. Not all deductions and earnings can be mapped to tax forms. If a deduction or earning cannot be mapped to a tax form or report, the application does not display the Tax Form/Report Mapping section for the deduction or earning.

Tax form and report mappings are used to group and allocate specific deductions or earnings to the correct boxes on the appropriate tax forms and associated reports. You can also create and configure mapping overrides in the Tax Form/Report Mapping section, in the Custom Mapping Overrides section. The Custom Mapping Overrides section also displays message "Compliance updates will be turned off for tax forms with configured custom mapping overrides."

Some deductions and earnings are configured for more than one country, and you can select the tab of the country to locate and view the Tax Form/Report Mapping section for the deduction or earning.

Important: If supplemental tax methods are also configured at the check template level, the application overrides the earning method and uses the check template configuration. If they are also configured at the legal entity level, the application overrides both the earning and check template methods and uses the legal entity configuration.
