This job controls the Dayforce Link Benefits Ongoing Export, which exports information on benefits for transmission to the plan carrier. The records are exported in a raw format and subsequently mapped and formatted for a specific carrier by the Dayforce Link.
The data exported is based on the information that is in Dayforce as of the date that the job is processed. The export includes data for employees and their dependents who have elections as of the defined number of days before and after the date that the export is generated. The look-back and look-forward periods can each be 0-120 days. If there are no values defined for the look-back and look-forward periods in the background job, the job looks backward and forward 31 days from the date that the export is generated, by default.
However, Dayforce limits the look-back and look-forward periods so that they stop at the plan year start date and plan year end date respectively, to account for Open Enrollment. The export uses the Plan Year Start Date and Plan Year End Date values defined in the associated Ongoing / Open Enrollment export configuration in Integrations > Data Export Setup > Benefits Data Export. This prevents elections from a prior or future plan year from being included in the export.
Dayforce skips the employee records with data issues and runs the background job until the application generates the export file. You can view the error details, if any, in the Job Logs tab of System Admin > Background Jobs.
The job uses the Dayforce Link Receiver Id (Ongoing file) value defined in the corresponding Ongoing / Open Enrollment type export configuration in Integrations > Data Export Setup > Benefits Data Export. If Dayforce doesn’t find an active entry for the Dayforce Link Receiver Id (Ongoing file) when the job is processed, the job fails.
Note: To obtain a receiver ID, contact your Dayforce Services representative.
You can run the job, or schedule it to run at a specific time. When the job successfully completes, Dayforce outputs records to the export.
