The response to a violation:

  • Critical: You can’t save or post the schedule.
  • Error: You can save the schedule, but you can’t post it.
  • Informational: You’re alerted to the problem, but no action is required.
  • Warning: You’re alerted to the problem, but you can still save the schedule.
Run even if no shifts (Optional) Run the rule even for employees who have contracts but weren’t scheduled. Depending on the options that you select in the Min Severity and Max Severity settings, Dayforce shows an error informing you that the schedule has no scheduled contract employees. If a contract employee has a work contract, but also has time away scheduled, Dayforce doesn’t trigger an error.
Work Days Include or exclude holidays when calculating the cumulative contract target value.
Complementary Status

(Optional) The hours that the rule validates:

  • Both: Validate the total hours, including both complementary and work contract hours.
  • ComplementaryOnly: Validate only complementary hours.
  • NonComplementaryOnly: Validate only work contract hours.
