After you create a Duo Security account, you must configure Dayforce and API integration within DUO Security.
Create the Web Application
- In the Duo Security menu, click Applications.
- Click Protect an Application, and do the following:
- Select Web SDK and click Protect this Application.
- Enter Dayforce Web as Dayforce name.
- Review the settings of Dayforce. Ensure that Require Enrollment is selected in the Policy section. Other settings should remain at their default values.
- Create a document with your word processing application and copy/paste the integration key, secret key and API hostname into it. You’ll need these keys to set up Dayforce.
- Click Save Changes.
Create the Admin API Application
- In the Duo Security menu, click Applications.
- Click Protect an Application, and do the following:
- Locate Admin API, and click Protect this Application.
- Enter Dayforce Admin as Dayforce name.
- Enable Grant read resource and Grant write resource.
- Copy/paste the integration key and secret key into the document you created. The API hostname will be the same, but the other keys will be unique. You’ll need these keys to set up Dayforce.
- Leave all settings at their default values and click Save Changes.
Important: The keys you have stored in the document you created are sensitive. They should be treated like passwords and stored securely.
