To create org differentials:
- Go to Org Setup > Jobs and Job Assignments and click the Pay Grades tab.
- Expand the pay grade you want to edit.
- Click the Org Differentials subtab and click Add.
- Click the empty cell under the Organization Unit column to open the Organization Unit dialog box, and select the org unit that the org differential applies to.
- Enter a date in the Effective From field to indicate when this org differential becomes effective.
- Leave the Effective To field blank to make this org differential active. Adding an end date to an org differential makes it inactive.
- Leave the effective end date blank to make this org differential the active one.
- Do one of the following in the Differential Type drop-down list:
- Select Percentage and Dayforce displays a field next to the drop-down list. Enter the percentage that represents the differential of the configured rates. For example, if employees should be paid 105% of the configured rate for working at the location, enter 105. If employees should be paid 95% of the configured rate for working at the location, enter 95. Dayforce calculates the adjusted rate and salary values and displays the results in the associated columns in the row.
- Select Custom to manually define the maximum, minimum, and control fields for salary or hourly, depending on the option selected in the Pay Type Group drop-down list in the General subtab of the pay grade. Dayforce automatically populates the midpoint values based on the minimum and maximum that you define.
- Click Save.
