Before You Begin: This is step three in a five-step process for configuring Dashboards access permissions. See Configure User Access to Dashboards.
Now that the system admin user role has access to all dashboards features, that user can create the required dashboard groups. Most of the dashboards that are included with the Dashboards feature are shown at the top of the screen in Dashboards. You can click the expand icon on the left of the screen to see the full list in a slide-out panel:
You can control access to dashboards at the group level. You should create dashboard groups so that you can specify user roles that should have access to each set of dashboards. The next section outlines the recommended set of dashboard groups that most organizations can duplicate to provide their users with access to the information that they need.
Recommended Dashboard Groups Configuration
The table below shows all of the dashboard groups that you need to create so that you can provide access to dashboards for the appropriate groups of users.
Note: For step-by-step instructions on creating new dashboard groups, see Create New Dashboard Groups. For instructions on moving dashboards into groups, see Edit Dashboard Properties.

Job Requisitions Recruiting Candidate |
Important: The Recruiting data source doesn't restrict visibility of records. Any user can see all existing job requisitions and candidates for those requisitions. |
Important: The Benefits, Payroll, and Recruiting data sources contain sensitive data that shouldn't be exposed to the direct manager, including selected benefits options, payroll deductions and taxes, and job assignments in other departments that the employee had been offered as a candidate. The above dashboard group configuration ensures that users won't have inappropriate access to sensitive data. If you don’t use this recommended configuration, you should either make sure that only the required user roles have access to these sensitive data sources, or expose only dashboard views that don’t contain sensitive data from these data sources.
