The Continuous Time Away Validation Rule restricts users from submitting a time away request that exceeds or is less than a set duration. Users can specify the minimum and maximum duration that the time away request can be in either days or hours. This rule can also be configured to prevent time away requests that fall on rest days or public holidays.
Before You Begin: This rule analyzes the hours in a time away request only if you select the Save daily net hours for each TAFW request checkbox in Client Properties. This client property is located in System Admin > Client Properties in the Properties tab in the General section.
Additionally, the duration of time away requested needs to be a multiple of the consecutive duration entered in this rule. Note that a validation error message is shown when there are issues with the time away request duration, such as:
- If it’s less than the minimum number of duration configured.
- If it exceeds the maximum number of duration configured.
- If it isn’t a multiple of the consecutive duration configured.
