Configure the Tiered Rate Employee Property

The first step in configuring this functionality involves creating a new employee property that specifies which base rate set applies to the employee.

Before You Begin: This topic describes only the steps required for this particular employee property. For more detailed information about configuring employee properties, see Employee Property Setup.

To create the tiered rate employee property:

  1. Go to HR Admin > Employee Properties.
  2. Click Add.
  3. In the Data section:
    • In the Data Type drop-down list, click Pick List.
    • In the Assignable drop-down list, click One at a time.
  4. In the Pick List Options section, define the necessary options. These options correspond to the cross-reference codes for the base rate sets:
  5. Pick List Options section.
  6. Click Save.

Next, assign the necessary base rate sets to employees in the Employment > Employee Properties screen in People using this employee property:
