Configure the Funding Bank Account for Singapore Payroll

You can set one bank account in Dayforce that you want to use for payroll. This process occurs in the Customer Funding Identifiers sub-tab of Org Setup > Org Payroll Setup > Legal Entity. If you logged in with the English (United Kingdom) culture setting, the Legal Entity tab is called Organisation.

Before You Begin: Legal entity bank accounts must be added in Dayforce. See Create Customer Bank Accounts.

Important: You can have only one active funding identifier or payroll bank account at a time. If the table contains more than one of each, make sure the effective date ranges don’t overlap.

Role feature access: Org Setup > Org Setup > Org Payroll Setup > Legal Entity

To identify the bank account to use for payroll:

  1. Go to Org Setup > Org Payroll Setup > Legal Entity and select your Singapore legal entity.
  2. Click the Customer Funding Identifiers tab.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Enter a name for this payroll funding identifier and, optionally, a description.
  5. In the Reference Code field, enter a cross-reference code.
  6. In the Effective Start field, enter a date when the funding identifier becomes active.
  7. There can be only one active funding identifier at any given time. If there is another funding identifier in this table, ensure that the effective date ranges don’t overlap by entering an Effective End for the item that is no longer active.
  8. In the Bank Account Setting section for the selected funding identifier, click Add.
  9. Enter a name and, optionally, a description for the bank account.
  10. In the Effective Start field, enter a date when the bank account becomes active.
  11. There can be only one active bank account at any given time. If there is another bank account in this table, ensure that the effective date ranges don’t overlap by entering an Effective End for the bank account that is no longer active.
  12. In the Bank Transfer tab for the selected bank account setting, select the bank account you want to use in the Customer Bank Account drop-down list. The bank accounts in the list were set up in Payroll Setup > Bank Accounts.

When a bank account is configured for payroll, you are now ready to start processing pay runs and paying employees. For an overview of how native Singapore payroll is funded, see Funding Singapore Payroll.
