Configure Your Time Off Policy

For daily and weekly TAFW balances, you must configure how Dayforce calculates average daily and weekly TAFW durations. In Time Away From WorkTime Off Policy, in the Time Calculation section, configure how Dayforce calculates daily and weekly TAFW using the settings in the Weeks and Days sub-sections.

Role feature access:  

  • Time Away From Work > Time Off Policy > Days Calculation
  • Time Away From Work > Time Off Policy > Otherwise Working Day
  • Time Away From Work > Time Off Policy > Weeks Calculation

Additionally, if necessary, you can configure Dayforce to calculate an otherwise working day average which, if configured, can affect an employee’s TAFW balances. This involves configuring settings in the Otherwise Working Day section of Time Away From WorkTime Off Policy.
