To configure staff assignment policies:
- Go to Schedule Setup > Staff Assignment Policy.
- Click Add. A slide-out panel opens.
- In the General section, enter a name and, optionally, a description for the policy.
- Note: The Find Candidate dialog box in Schedules shows only the policy’s name. It’s important that the name is descriptive enough that users without access to Staff Assignment Policy can identify what the policy does. For example, if the policy specifies that employees are scheduled in descending order by seniority, you might name the policy “Most Senior First.”
- In the Organization field, specify an area of your organization to assign the staff assignment policy to.
- Enter an effective start date and, optionally, an effective end date.
- (Optional) In the Reference Code field, enter a cross-reference code. This code must be unique and must not contain special characters.
- (Optional) To order the policy based on the priority of the shift, select the Apply Shift Priority checkbox.
- (Optional) To use the policy to sort unfilled shift bids, select the Shift Bid checkbox. See Shift Bids.
- Click Save.
