Configure Multiple Worksite Reporting

Some states require legal entities to define and assign worksite numbers to all their locations when those legal entities have multiple locations that are covered under a single Unemployment Insurance (UI) account. Those states then require those legal entities to report on those locations.

The following states are required to file Multiple Worksite Reports: Alabama, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

Multiple worksite reporting can only be configured on legal entities with locations in the United States.

To configure multiple worksite reporting:

  1. Go to Org Setup > Org Payroll Setup > Multiple Worksite Reporting and select a legal entity.
  2. Select the Multiple Worksite Reporting checkbox.
  3. Provide a multiple worksite contact name, title, and phone number in the available fields.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Select the state in the Worksite State drop-down list.
  6. Enter the five-digit, numeric Worksite Number assigned for the worksite. This number is provided by the state.
  7. Enter a name and description of the worksite in the available fields.
  8. Enter the reference code.
  9. Enter effective dates for the worksite.
  10. Enter the worksite's address in the available fields.
  11. Select a comment code in the Comments drop-down list. These are provided by the US Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics.
  12. Click Save.

You can configure as many worksites as necessary. After you configure worksites, you need to assign the worksite numbers to the appropriate locations in the organizational hierarchy.

  3. Select the location and then click the Legal Entity tab.
  4. Select the worksite number in the Worksite Name [State-Number] drop-down list.
  5. Click Save.
