In Scheduling Plan > Schedule Trend (Multi Employee), you can configure the schedule trend display for your locations. This ensures that Dayforce shows managers the appropriate level of information when they schedule employees in Schedules.
First, you must add a schedule trend policy, then add shift types (or time segments) to the policy. In each shift type, you define information such as the number of prior weeks to show in the schedule and the days of the week that Dayforce shows this information for.
To configure a schedule trend policy and its shift types:
- Go to Scheduling Plan > Schedule Trend (Multi Employee) and click Add.
- In the Organization field, specify the organization that this trend policy applies to.
- Enter a name and description.
- In the Based On drop-down list, specify how Dayforce determines what constitutes, for example, an early, afternoon, or late shift. The following options are available:
-
- Start Time: If the start time of the shift falls within the shift types’ start and end time, then assign to the shift type.
- End Time: If the end time of the shift falls within the shift types’ start and end time, then assign to the shift type.
- % of Shift: If the majority of the shift’s duration falls within the shift types’ start and end time, then assign to the shift type. If equal parts of a shift fall into two shift types, Dayforce uses the shift’s start time.
- In the # Weeks Prior field, enter the number of weeks before the current date to show trend data for.
- In the Days of Week field, specify which days of the week to show trends for.
- To add shift types, click Add in the expanded section below your policy. The shift types (or time segments) that you define determine how Dayforce categorizes shifts in Schedules.
- In the Shift Type field, enter a name for the shift type. For example, Early Morning.
- Enter the segment’s start and end times.
- In the Icon drop-down list, select the image that you want to use for the shift type.
- Click Save.
In the following example, the administrator selected Start Time in the Based On drop-down list. As such, shift start times determine when each shift belongs in the shift type.
The schedule trend policy above for Plant 1 is configured to show information on Mondays and Tuesdays for shifts that employees worked prior Mondays and Tuesdays, either in the late evening or in the early morning (based on the shift’s start time).
