Dayforce retains information or attributes about your organization’s locations for use in task management and labor deployment. This information can be used by management to compare locations. For example, in the Task Management and Task Setup > Task Templates features, you can cater the budget of ad hoc tasks and task templates to suit the properties of your locations, such as square footage. To do this, you’d create a “Size in Square Feet” location property.
After you configure the different attributes you want to track in Dayforce, you need to provide values for each location, the process for which is also described below.
You can add as many location properties in Org Setup as your organization tracks.
To configure a location property:
- Go to Org Setup > Locations and click the Location Properties tab.
- Click Add.
- Enter a name and description for the location property.
- In the Default Value field, enter the value Dayforce uses for the property, by default.
- (Optional) Enter a reference code for the location property in the Reference Code field. This code must be unique and must not contain special characters.
- Click Save.
