Configure Job Assignment Activities

In Schedule Setup > Job Assignment Activities, you can assign the activities set up in Schedule Setup > Activities to your organization’s job assignments. When assigned, activities can be scheduled only for the job assignments that are eligible to work them.

To assign an activity to a job assignment:

1. Go to Schedule Setup > Job Assignment Activities.
2. In the Job Assignments panel, select a job assignment. If the job assignment isn’t in the list, you can select it in the Job Assignments drop-down list and then click Add.
3. Select an activity in the Available list and use the arrows to move it to the Current list. To select multiple activities at once, press and hold the Ctrl key and select the appropriate activities.
4. (Optional) To adjust the order of the activities in the Current list, use the up and down arrows. You need to specify an order here only if your organization doesn’t have the Use loose activity matching in shift client property enabled.
   • If the Use loose activity matching in shift client property isn’t enabled, Dayforce shows activities in this order when you add or edit shifts in Schedules.
   • If the Use loose activity matching in shift client property is enabled, you don’t need to specify an order. When you add or edit shifts Schedules, Dayforce shows all of the activities for all job assignments that the employee can work, in alphabetical order.
5. Click Save. Dayforce links the job assignments and activities so that any activity linked to a job assignment can be scheduled to employees working that job assignment.

Note the following:

• When you click Refresh, Dayforce reverts all unsaved changes.
• When you click Delete, Dayforce removes the selected job assignment from the Job Assignments panel.
• To readd the job assignment to the Job Assignments panel, select it in the Job Assignments drop-down list.
