You can configure decrement cascades so that Dayforce can decrement points from multiple attendance incident types, until either the full decrement is applied, or the balances for all of the selected incident types are zero. When the balance of the first incident type is used up, Dayforce can continue to decrement points from other specified incident types, until all of those balances are zero, or the full decrement is applied.
For example, an employee is allotted three late incidents, five absences, and ten vacation days. When an employee is late three times, the employee can use their absent balance first, and then if the absent balance runs out, they can use their vacation balance.
The process for configuring a decrement cascade in an attendance rule policy is identical to the one used for attendance policies. See Configure Decrement Cascades in Attendance Policies.
