Configure Date Offsets for Payroll Elections

In the Payroll Mapping tab of Benefits Setup > Plans and Options for health and life and disability plans, you can configure the payroll election start and end date offsets for eligible employees' benefit elections. You can configure the start and end date offsets for employee and employer elections.

Note the following:

  • When the configured date offsets apply to employee or employer elections, the change applies to deductions and earnings assigned in the following sections:
    • Employee Cost/Contribution
    • Employer Cost/Contribution
  • The payroll election date offsets don’t apply to any payroll mapping that uses the same deduction or earning in both the Employee Cost/Contribution and Employer Cost/Contribution sections.
  • If an employee qualifies for multiple start date or end date offsets under the same employee or employer election, those offsets don’t apply unless all qualifying offsets follow the same rule.

Dayforce shows the changed start and end dates for payroll elections in the Payroll > Payroll Elections screen in People.
