Configure Customized Notifications

Before You Begin: Before creating customized attendance notifications in Dayforce, ensure the following conditions are met:

  • Roles are subscribed to the Incident Violation Notification in System Admin > System Notifications.
  • The Incident Violation Notification Alert background job is scheduled. Further, ensure that Customized is selected in the Alert Type drop-down list in the job’s settings dialog box.

You can configure Dayforce to send customized notifications to employees when attendance incidents, grades, or violations occur. In the Incident Type, Grade, and Violation sub-tabs of the Attendance Policy tab in Pay Setup > Attendance, select the Send Notification checkbox and enter a customized notification in the Notification Message field.

In the following example, the With Incident and Grade 1 grades are configured in two rows:

The following customized notification messages are configured for the With Incident and Grade 1 grades:

When the grades are reached by an employee, the following notification is sent to their manager with the customized text in the message body:
