To configure a calculation formula:
- Go to Plan Setup > KPI Metadata and click the Calculation Formulas tab.
- In the sidebar, select a KPI metadata set and then click Add.
- In the KPI drop-down list, select the KPI that the calculation formula applies to.
- In the Forma Column drop-down list, select the forma column that the calculation formula applies to.
- In the Zone drop-down list, select the zone that the calculation formula applies to.
- In the Predecessors field, enter any predecessor KPIs that roll up into the calculation formula’s KPI. This field is made of values that are a predecessor of the final sum. For example, in the context of a weekly value, the days are the predecessors to the week. Similarly, for a daily site level, the zones under the site would be the predecessor for the site and added together in this field. You can specify which zones should rollup to the site level in a comma-separated list of the IDs of the zones. These IDs can be found in the Zone drop-down list. You can choose to exclude certain zones from this field in cases where the zone's KPI value is already derived from other zones and including it could double the count. It could also be that the zone needs to be tracked separately so its values aren't meant to be included in the site total.
- Select the Persist Values checkbox to save the formula’s results to the database.
- Select the sources for the Daily Zone Source, Daily Location Source, Weekly Zone Source, and Weekly Location Source.
- Enter the associated formulas in the Daily Zone Formula, Daily Location Formula, Weekly Zone Formula and Weekly Location Formula fields for sources that are configured as derived or task-based calculations. See KPI Metadata Formula Library.
- Click Save.
