Configure Base Rate Set Levels

After you configure base rate sets, you need to add the necessary levels to each set. For example, one set might have three levels that employees can progress through, while the other has four.

To add levels to a base rate set:

  1. Go to Pay Setup > Base Rate Set and click the Base Rate Sets tab.
  2. Select a base rate set.
  3. In the Rate Table section, click Add.
  4. Enter a name and, optionally, a description of the level.
  5. If Dayforce should assign the level to employees by default, select the Is Default checkbox.
  6. (Optional) In the Reference Code field, enter a cross-reference code for the level. This code must be unique and must not contain special characters.
  7. Click Save.
