Configure Account Recovery Assistant

Dayforce Implementation Guide

Configure Account Recovery Assistant

To enable the Account Recovery Assistant, select the Enable Account Recovery Assistant (Requires password reset) checkbox in the Security section of the Properties tab in System Admin > Client Properties.

You can also select the Disable Skipping of Account Recovery Assistant checkbox in the same location to configure the Account Recovery Assistant to display the Close button instead of the Skip button, so that employees must complete their password reset information before they can access Dayforce.

Note: When the Disable Skipping of Account Recovery Assistant checkbox is selected, users who don't have an employee profile in Dayforce (for example, system administrators) will still see the Skip button, which they can click to continue to access Dayforce.

In addition, enabling the Account Recovery Assistant requires the following client properties in the Security section of the Properties tab in System Admin > Client Properties to be enabled:

  • Enable Email Verification
  • Enable Password Reset (Requires email verification)

When you enable the Enable Account Recovery Assistant (Requires password reset) client property, Dayforce automatically enables both of the above client properties if they aren't already enabled.

When users submit an email address, Dayforce adds it to their profile as a personal email address. To support this, a personal email option must be present in HR Admin > Contact Information Types Admin. The configuration of this contact type must be as follows:

  • The Reference Code field must have PersonalEmail entered.
  • The Contact Information Type Group drop-down list must have Email Address selected.
  • The Contact Type drop-down list must have Personal selected.

See Contact Information Type Setup.
