When creating tax entries in the Adjustments tab of Payroll for employees with the ZZ - Canadian Beyond Provinces or US - Canadian Beyond Province tax status, Dayforce includes the Fed Tax BP option in the Code drop-down list for selection.
The Fed Tax BP option allows you to differentiate between tax amounts for employees with the beyond provinces status.
Note: When you create an entry with the Fed Tax BP code, it’s still shown as Fed Tax in the earning statement.
When creating tax entries in the Quick Entry or Checks tab of Payroll for employees with the ZZ - Canadian Beyond Provinces or US - Canadian Beyond Province tax status, Dayforce only shows the Fed Tax option in the Code drop-down list. When you select this option, the system applies the correct taxation as there is no need to differentiate between these taxes for quick entries and checks.
