Change the Validation Errors View Settings

By default, Dayforce shows all of the columns in the list of validation errors. The following columns are always shown in the same order starting from the left side of the list: Person ID, Name, Person Type, Country, and Error. The rest of the columns are optional, and you can adjust which columns are shown and in which order.

To change the validation errors view settings:

  1. Go to System Admin > Data Management Center and click the Validation Errors tab.
  2. Click View.
  3. Click Choose Columns. The Column Options dialog box opens. The columns that are in the SELECTED box are shown in the list of validation errors, while the columns that are in the AVAILABLE box aren’t.
  4. To remove columns from the view, select one or more columns in the SELECTED box and use the left arrow to move them to the AVAILABLE box. The columns marked Mandatory can’t be removed.
  5. To add columns to the view, select one or more columns in the AVAILABLE box and use the right arrow to move them to the SELECTED box.
  6. To move a column to a different position in the list, click the column name in the SELECTED box and use the up and down arrows to move it. The columns marked Mandatory can’t be moved.
  7. Click Select. The selected columns are added to the Columns field in the View panel.
  8. Click Apply.
