In HR Admin > Compliance Reporting > EEO, you can generate a California pay data report in a comma-separated values (CSV) format that is compatible with the online filing system of the California Civil Rights Department (CRD).
Important: Dayforce, Inc. provides the information contained in these topics to customers for general information purposes only. This information shouldn't be construed as legal, tax, or other advice specific to any individual or organization. Please consult your appropriate adviser for such specific advice.
Private employers of 100 or more employees with at least one employee in or reporting to California must report pay and hours-worked data by establishment, job category, gender, race, and ethnicity to the CRD on an annual basis. For more information, see https://calcivilrights.ca.gov/paydatareporting/faqs/.
Important: Employers are ultimately responsible for ensuring and certifying the accuracy of the data that is provided to the CRD. As such, you are encouraged to exercise due diligence and to conduct a review of the data in the report that is submitted. If errors or discrepancies are discovered, appropriate revisions might be necessary.
Before You Begin: The functionality for generating a California pay data report in Dayforce uses data from the Payroll module. The report derives annual salary from box 5 of committed W-2 forms in the Year End feature, and hours worked from a payroll earning grouping that you specify.
