The blackout date field of the export configuration cancels the Ongoing export background job if it's scheduled to run. Dayforce cancels the job, and the transmission of the file to the carrier, from the blackout date until the new plan year begins. If you want to continue sending the ongoing file until you send your Open Enrollment file, make sure of the following:
- The look-forward period used in the Ongoing export background job excludes the end dates for elections updated annually.
- The blackout date for the ongoing export aligns with the date that you send your Open Enrollment file on.
