In Integrations > Data Export Setup > Benefits Data Export, you can configure carrier exports for transmission to the Dayforce Link using the Dayforce Link Benefits background jobs and the Carrier Export background job. You can use the export configurations in this feature to export information about employee elections, open or ongoing enrollments, and COBRA initial notice and qualified events.
Dayforce lists the export configurations for each carrier, the export rule name (if applicable), along with the effective dates and the export type.
By default, Dayforce lists the configuration records in ascending order based on the Effective From date value, but you can sort them based on any of the columns.
The four data export types are as follows:
- XML/834
- COBRA / Initial Notice (applicable in the US only)
- Ongoing / Open Enrollment
- Ongoing / Open Enrollment Multi-Carrier
These export types are mapped to the corresponding background jobs:
- XML/834
- Benefits Carrier Export
- COBRA / Initial Notice (applicable in the US only)
- Dayforce Link Benefits COBRA Initial Notice Export
- Dayforce Link Benefits COBRA Qualified Event Export
- Ongoing / Open Enrollment
- Dayforce Link Benefits Ongoing Export
- Dayforce Link Benefits Open Enrollment Export
- Ongoing / Open Enrollment Multi-Carrier Export
- Dayforce Link Benefits Multi-Carrier Ongoing Export
- Dayforce Link Benefits Multi-Carrier Open Enrollment Export
You can have multiple export configurations for a given carrier, but each carrier can have only one export configuration of each type that’s active at any given time. However, you might have multiple multicarrier exports configured for a single vendor if they have different export rule names and recipient IDs.
The following topics describe the different types of Benefits data exports and how to configure them:
- XML/834 Exports
- COBRA and Initial Notice Exports
- Ongoing and Open Enrollment Exports
- End Export Configurations
After configuring exports, you can edit or delete the export, as needed.
You can edit any field except Carrier for the export configuration types. If you want to change the carrier associated with any of the export types, you must create a configuration. It’s also recommended that you delete the incorrect configuration.
You can delete export configurations, however, if you don't have an active export configuration for a corresponding Dayforce Link Benefits background job or the Benefits Carrier Export, the job fails.
