This background job runs forecasts without manually initiating the process in the Plan feature. You can subscribe to receive a notification when the forecast is complete. See Batch Forecast Completion.
Setting | Description |

Site | The site to run the forecast for. |
Name | Enter a descriptive name for the forecast. |
Offset Start (Periods) |
The number for the offset start of the period for which the forecast is run. The default is 1, and Dayforce runs the forecast for the next week. If, for example, you enter 4, the forecast is run starting four weeks after the current week. You can also enter 0 or a negative number. If you enter 0, Dayforce begins forecasting in the upcoming week. If you enter -1, Dayforce begins forecasting in the current week. |
Length (Periods) | The number of periods to include in the forecast. For example, enter 4 to run the forecast for four periods. |
Send Notification | Send a notification when the background job runs to users that are subscribed to the Batch Forecast Completion notification. See Notification Subscriptions. |
Skip if Exists | Skip forecasting for periods that already have forecast data. |
Initialize | Copy the forecast values into the Manager Adjust column in Plan when the task runs. Clear the checkbox and Dayforce doesn’t copy the forecast values when the task runs. |
Skip Initialization If Edits Exist | Select this checkbox and Dayforce doesn’t initialize when edits exist in a plan. |
