The Award Prorated Yearly Amount Rule awards employees their yearly entitlement amount at the beginning of the year.
Before You Begin: This rule must be used with the Monthly Replenish Rule.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Include assignment month | If the entitlement policy’s start date isn’t the first of the month, select this checkbox and the assignment month is included in the entitlement amount calculation. |
Yearly amount for current level | The employee’s current entitlement balance for the year. |
Yearly amount for next level | The employee’s entitlement balance when they advance to the next entitlement level. |
Level change date | The date when employees advance to the entitlement amount specified in the Yearly amount for next level field. The options are Hire Date and Seniority Date. |
Level change property if date is not selected | If you didn’t select an option in the Level change date drop-down list, make a selection in the Level change property if date is not selected drop-down list to specify when employees advance to the next entitlement level. |
Use rollover date as start of year | By default, Dayforce uses January 1 as the start of the year when calculating proration. When this checkbox is selected, Dayforce uses the start date specified for the entitlement’s rollover recurrence instead. |
