Audit

The Audit screen in People is a central area for tracking historical changes made to employees' records:

Audit screen.

You can get to the Audit screen in the following ways:

  • By clicking Audit in the sidebar of the employee's profile.
  • By clicking Audit in the People screens that support auditing (for example, the Personal > Contact Information screen).
  • Note: As an exception, clicking Audit in the Employment > Employment Settings or Work > Work Assignments screen opens the audit dialog box instead. See View Audit Details for Status, Key Information, and Dayforce Wallet.

The filter panel in the Audit screen has the following filters that you can use to search for audit records:

  • Action
  • Action Performed By
  • Date
  • Section: If you opened the Audit screen by clicking Audit in any People screen, this filter is populated with the section matching that screen. If you opened the Audit screen by clicking Audit in the sidebar, the filter is cleared.

The list shows an audit entry for each change made to a record, and for the creation or deletion of a record. Each entry shows the name of the user who made the change and the date and time that it was made. You can also click the user's name to open their employee card.

You can click an entry to expand its details. Dayforce lists the fields that were updated and the old values, new values, and removals:
