Before You Begin: You must first have an existing certified payroll export configuration set up–see Create Certified Payroll Export Configurations–and you must also have configured one or more pay groups with the certified payroll export configuration–see Apply Certified Payroll Mappings to Pay Groups.
In order for a certified payroll file to generate, you need to configure projects in Projects. These projects must then be associated with the earnings, either using a WFM time entry or a manual entry in Payroll).
The Certified Payroll Project Number field is displayed for projects in the Details tab of Projects.
To assign a certified payroll export configuration with a project:
- Ensure that you have created a certified payroll export configuration and that you have associated it with one or more pay groups.
- Go to Projects.
- Select an existing top-level or child project that you want to update, or create a project.
- Click the Details tab.
- In the Certified Payroll Project Number field, enter the number of the certified payroll export configuration that you want to associate with this project.
- Click Save.
