If you don’t want for a pay group to use the default delivery package, you can set a delivery package at the pay group level. It’s recommended that pay groups are assigned delivery packages.
Dayforce, Inc. sends checks and direct deposit advice based on how you configure the delivery packages, assign org units to them, and assign packages to pay groups. An employee's payroll check or direct deposit advice is included in a pay group's delivery package if the following conditions are met:
- The employee belongs to that pay group.
- The employee's primary location (effective at the end of the pay period) has been assigned to one of the delivery packages assigned to the pay group.
Delivery packages are assigned to existing pay groups in Pay Setup > Pay Group in the Delivery Packages tab.
To assign a delivery package to a pay group:
- Go to Pay Setup > Pay Group and select a pay group.
- Click the Delivery Packages tab.
- Click Add.
- In the Delivery Package drop-down list, select the name of the delivery package that you want to apply to the pay group.
- Select the Default checkbox to configure Dayforce to use this delivery package for any employee in the pay group who doesn’t have an individual delivery package configured.
- (Optional) If you want to change the recipient of the delivery package, select the Override Instruction Settings checkbox and then perform the following tasks:
- In the Address drop-down list, select a new delivery address.
- In the Contact drop-down list, select a new recipient.
- In the Courier drop-down list, select the name of the courier that will deliver the reports in the delivery package. US customers have the Customer Pickup option in this drop-down list, which allows you to pick up your delivery package locally.
- (US customers) In the Courier Service Option drop-down list, select the type of service for the mailing (for example, express).
- (Canadian customers) In the Print Location drop-down list, select the Dayforce location where the reports will be printed.
- (Optional for Canadian customers) In the Delivery Instructions Language drop-down list, select the preferred cover page language.
- Select an option in the Override Terminated Employee Sort to redirect all items for terminated employees to this delivery package.
- Click Save.
