Vacation bidding notifications in Dayforce inform employees when their submission rounds for vacation bidding begin and end. Also, vacation bidding notifications inform employees about the status of their bid requests (that is, whether they were approved, cancelled, denied, or triggered an error).
Vacation bidding notifications are assigned to roles in System Admin > System Notifications, under the Workforce Management - Vacation Bidding Notifications category. For more information on the vacation bidding notifications available in System Admin > System Notifications, see Workforce Management - Vacation Bidding Notifications.
You can also configure customized vacation bidding notifications in Vacation Bidding Setup. You can configure notifications in groups and assign these notification group records to vacation bidding groups in the Groups tab. To assign subscriptions for vacation bidding notifications:
- Go to System Admin > System Notifications.
- In the Subscriptions tab, go to the Workforce Management - Vacation Bidding Notifications category in the list.
- Select one of the following notifications:
- Bidding Round End
- Bidding Round Start
- Bidding Round Void
- Bidding Window End
- Bidding Window Start
- Request Approved
- Request Cancelled
- Request Denied
- Request Errored
- To subscribe specific roles to the notification, click Add in the Subscribed Roles section. Dayforce shows the Add Roles to Subscription List dialog box. Select all of the roles that you want to subscribe to the notification and click Save.
- To subscribe specific users to the notification, click Add in the Subscribed Users section. Dayforce shows the Add Users to Subscription List dialog box. Select all of the users that you want to subscribe to the notification and click Save.
- To exclude specific users from receiving the notification, click Add in the Excluded Users section. Dayforce shows the Add Users to Excluded List dialog box. Select all of the users that you want to exclude from receiving the notification and click Save.
